VCN is one of the largest independent service providers for intermediaries in mortgages, insurance, and loans. For its two Employee Days 2022, themed ‘Together Building on Continuous Improvement,’ Novella – theworldcafe.nl is organizing a significant part of the inspiring program for around 150 employees each day. During both days, speaker Paul Smit humorously holds up a mirror to the audience, showing them how to view themselves, their colleagues, and their clients from a different perspective.

EXECUTION

After lunch, participants sit in a well-mixed group at round tables, and Wiro Kuipers moderates the World Café LEGO © Serious Play. During the two interactive afternoons, 150 employees will explore in three building rounds. Wiro Kuipers provides an inspiring introduction, and participants will first get hands-on experience with the LEGO feeling. Each colleague will then engage with all three sub-themes over three rounds: Working Smarter – The VCN Employee of the Future – Stronger Together.

THEMES

In Building Round 1, individual constructions are created, and stories are shared and written on the sheets. During Building Round 2, at a new table, individual constructions are combined into one collective structure. In Building Round 3, potential actions are linked to the final structures. We then discuss in a plenary session how we collectively view the future. The management, in turn, shares their observations from the afternoon and highlights promising concepts.
